中華軌道車輛工業發展協會簡介
「中華軌道車輛工業發展協會」 成立於1997年，目前已擁有140個會員；包括電機、機械、號誌、通訊、軌道等各專業廠商。過去多年來，在協會廠商的共同努力及政府的鼎力支持下，國內 軌道產品產製能力逐年提升，產品市場亦逐年擴展。放眼將來，本協會除繼續協助本會成員與政府主管機構、軌道系統營運者等之協商，以爭取產業製造商機外，有 關軌道工業先進技術之引進、維修人力之培訓、軌道產品驗證及軌道專業技師的證照制度之建立以及推動國際交流等，都是本協會將持續推動之重要工作。
目前我國軌道運輸系統之興建仍蓬勃發展中，傳統鐵路的行車設備持續汰換增購，高速鐵路將於2005年完工通車，台北與高雄捷運之延伸線依計畫將 陸續動工，另輕軌系統因其具有較佳彈性使用特性與建造期短及建造費用相對較低的優點，目前已有諸多縣市規劃考量中。預估在未來十年（2003～2012） 間,軌道運輸產業的商機仍將有高幅度的增長。過去藉由政府及公營事業有關軌道車輛及相關設備之重要採購案，執行工業合作互惠協定，已獲致良好成果，將來如 何持續結合本地產業長處，善用工業合作機會與國際軌道車輛產品大廠接軌，繼以全面提升軌道產業相關技術，將是確保我國軌道產業持續發展與永續經營的關鍵， 亦是本協會與會員廠商共同努力的目標。
CRIDA - a brief introduction
Chung-Hwa Railway Industry Development Association (CRIDA) established in 1997, it consists of some 140 member companies, including machinery, electric, signaling, track work and other railway industry related companies in Taiwan. With the full support of government through project base financing as well as policy wised encouragement, CRIDA has been actively assisting government in the promotion of major railway construction programs and to assist local industries in the advancement of railway technologies, which has contributed tremendously to the development of local railway industry and the increasing share of the local production.
The railway industry in Taiwan is still flourishing; the conventional rail replacement is going on, the Taiwan high speed rail is scheduled to operated in 2005 while the mass rapid transit systems in both Taipei and Kaoshung are being extended, furthermore, the light rail transit, being lower cost and shorter construction time needed, has been considerate favorably by the railway planning agencies. It is envisage that the domestic railway market shall grow in a faster pace in the years to come (see table I). The challenge ahead, still, is to elevate the overall railway technology locally in order to ensure the long lasting development of the Taiwan railway industry, which, a goal for CRIDA and its member companies.

主要活動
協助本會成員與政府主管機構（包括中央、地方）、軌道系統營運者等之協商，以爭取產業製造商機。
Coordinating amongst government agencies, railway operators and the industry in order to promote railway market.
接受相關單位委託，執行與軌道工業發展相關之專案計畫，並藉以反映產業界意見。
Conducting railway industry related research projects entrusted by government agencies or private companies.
參與國內地方性採購車種之規範制訂與驗證程序之工作，並持續接受經濟部標準檢驗局委託擬訂軌道工業產品國家標準草案。
Assisting Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) of Ministry of Economic Affairs to construct national railway related standards.
協助擬訂軌道工程採購案之工業合作計畫。
Assisting in the stipulation of the specification for Industrial Cooperation Programs.
發行軌道產業速報（週刊）及軌道車輛工業資訊（季刊），提供軌道產業技術、商業、政策發展相關資訊。
Publishing railway newsletter and professional journals.
辦理各種人員訓練，包括技術、行銷、營運等專才訓練，並建立軌道專業人才資料庫。
Sponsoring training courses for railway industry and maintaining railway professionals date bank.
協助辦理各種國內外研討會、展覽及規劃本會會員赴國外考察觀摩以促進我國軌道工業產品行銷。
Conducting seminars and exhibitions on railway industry market and technology.
安排本會成員與國內外廠商及鐵路單位相互參訪。
Arranging visiting programs, both locally and internationally, amongst railway industry related institutions, societies and private companies.
促進本會成員之溝通與合作，如形成研發或商業策略聯盟共同參與國際採購案競標等。
Organizing railway industry R&D and communal strategic alliances.
促進與國內外軌道工業發展相關機構之交流。
